Bhubaneswar: On Saturday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan called on Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to launch diploma and undergraduate programs focused on aerospace, defense, and related fields.
He suggested that HAL, in partnership with IIT Madras and the Central University of Odisha in Koraput, could facilitate these educational offerings.
Such programs are expected to stimulate innovation at the school level and cultivate a skilled workforce equipped with advanced aerospace engineering knowledge, according to the Minister.
This proposal was made during his visit to HAL's facility in Sunabeda. Pradhan also highlighted the importance of establishing HAL STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education labs in schools throughout the Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, and Rayagada districts.
